Alpha Tricks: A New Embrilliance Embroidery Feature

Do you love to create and customize with machine embroidery? Are you one of the many embroiderers looking for affordable embroidery software that works with Mac Computers? Embrilliance Embroidery Software may be worth exploring. Recently, they launched Alpha Tricks, a new Embrilliance Embroidery Feature. You can use it as a stand alone, or an add on for the Original Embrilliance Software.

What is Alpha Tricks?

If you love working with embroidery fonts and lettering, you have probably experienced some frustration when using those beautiful, fancy fonts. You may find yourself struggling with the fonts, trying to line them up and aligning them to create your desired word or phrase. I know I have encountered this problem more than once. For Embrilliance users, the problem is now solved with the new Alpha Tricks feature!

Alpha Tricks: How to Use this New Feature from Embrilliance

Why you’ll appreciate it.

Alpha Tricks enables you to work with purchased alphabets, and treat them as keystroke letters, and offers you the freedom to move, resize, space, group, and manipulate letters that would otherwise be difficult to work with to create multiple line text, or customization. Generally, when working with alphabets you would need to place, space and size each individual letter in a word or multiple text line, but with Alpha Tricks, you can import your purchased alphabets, map them,  and use your keyboard to create the desired word or phrase with keystrokes. Alpha Tricks uses a .BX file format, which is not a standard format yet. They are working with selected digitizers so there will be more options for alphabets in .BX format soon. You can also request a .BX format from your preferred digitizers. I actually found a wonderful source for .BX fonts at River Mill Embroidery.

Below is a video tutorial that I put together to show you how Alpha Tricks makes it much easier to work with fonts and alphabets, the .BX files, and mapping your existing font alphabets.

Bonnie, I have a singer futura machine that I lost the software to when I moved, and a singer quantum xl6000 that has been loaned to me also without the software. Do you know if I can purchase the alpha tricks to use with either machine to down load fonts and send them to the machine (having no other software)? I can’t use my futura at all, and I’m board with the preinstalled fonts on the quantum! The software from singer is quite expensive, so I’ve been surfing the web for days trying to figure this out!

I know it can be frustrating and overwhelming, and I wish I could help you but I am not familiar enough with those sewing machines to know if it would work or not. I would suggest that you contact Embrilliance on their website (link is in our side bar on this website) or you visit Embrilliance on facebook. They are very helpful. :)
